About
A word from the man with the coffee.
Hello, I am Robin Parmar, owner of Parmar Development. Starting with an education in physics, I moved quickly into computer programming. I began by designing vertical market applications, way back when the DOS operating system was still something pretty hot! Since then I have spent about half my time working as an employee for larger firms, and the other half consulting and operating my own business.
I've seen a lot of trends come and go. One thing that doesn't change are my principles. I'm a longstanding member of the Association of Computing Machinery, the professional body which manages the computing profession. As such, I abide by their code of ethics.
Elsewhere on this site I use the plural "we" when writing about Parmar Development. That's not to hide the fact that the business is owned by a single individual. It's simply to stress that the firm leverages the best affordable talent on the web to provide you with expertise that invisibly shapes itself to serve you optimally. Resources flow from your requirements, so costs can be kept reasonable.
But when push comes to shove you'll be happy to deal with a single point of contact, without wasted effort in communications or misunderstandings arising from too many cooks at the broth.
I live and work in Limerick, Ireland. So if you're nearby, why not drop in for a coffee?
