What are your rates?
Our rates start at 80 euros per hour. Volume work and fixed price jobs naturally earn a discount. We strive to offer as many fixed price packages as possible. For an example see the details of our Starter Website. We now have more details available on what you can expect to pay.
How can we pay?
The easiest forms of payment are via PayPal or a bank transfer. For most jobs half the fixed price amount is due up front and half on completion.
Why can other web designers charge less?
If you compare us to web developers who are professional and have the expertise to do a job right, you will find we look very good. If you compare us to your friend's son who just learned some HTML... well, you get what you pay for!
Do you use templates?
If you mean "do you clone sites using standard designs that say nothing about your individuality?" then the answer is no.
Why don't I see all sorts of Flash animations on your site?
Flash is a great tool for creating efficient motion graphics for the web. But we believe in a minimal aesthetic that calls for form to match content and both to be driven by the message the site should communicate. Also, Flash can obscure important content from search engines, dramatically reducing your site's visibility. If Flash is important to the impact you wish to make on your clients, we will use it, sparingly.
Why doesn't your site look good in my browser?
Our sites are designed for software which supports web standards, which all modern browsers do. We also use the principal of "graceful degradation", meaning that if you have an older browser you will still see the content, though you may loose some niceties of design. Where are your sites hosted?
We host clients at a state-of-the-art facility in Atlanta, Georgia, USA which has access to all major fiber and IP backbones. Check our reponse times against major players like Dreamhost, and be prepared for a pleasant surprise. Of course if you have your own on-site or off-site hosting arranged, we will adapt to you.
