Since websites differ widely in purpose and scope, it is critical to perform a requirements analysis. Once this is done, a price for the development can be determined. While our freelance rates start at 80 euros per hour, fixed price development projects naturally earn a discount. Here are some ballpark figures.
If your needs are modest and primarily promotional, we offer a complete Starter Website for 500 euros. In order to encourage the local artistic community, we offer an Irish Artist Starter Website for the equivalent of one euro per day.
Most websites will require around a dozen pages, integrated images, custom stylesheets, dynamic page creation and a simple content management system (CMS). These will run approximately €3-6k.
Larger sites typically require a good deal more custom functionality that either calls for a full-blown CMS or extensive custom coding. These might range from €10k to €20k or even more, but generally these costs are incurred over extended periods of time.
The important thing is to establish an appropriate presence on the web and extend functionality if and when it is justified.
